Community Code
Last updated: May 13, 2026
We The Loud exists for one reason: to give the counter-culture community a place to gather, buy, sell, and be loud without a corporation deciding what’s acceptable. That means this platform operates differently than the places you’re used to.
Read this. It’s short.
What This Place Is
We The Loud is a social marketplace for the alternative, goth, rock, metal, motorcycle, tattoo, and adjacent communities. It’s a venue, not a publisher. We do not curate your feed by engagement score or bury your posts unless you pay to boost them.
You see everything in chronological order. You follow who you want. The algorithm does not decide who matters here.
What We Protect
We actively protect the following things on this platform:
- Your right to hold and express unpopular opinions so long as it is not harmful to others.
- Your right to make, sell, and buy art that some people will find offensive.
- Your right to disagree loudly, including with us.
- Your right to engage in subcultures that mainstream platforms treat as suspicious.
- Your right to participate without paying a platform tax to be seen.
What Gets Removed
We do not remove content because it’s weird, abrasive, or makes someone uncomfortable. We remove content that is designed to harm a specific person or facilitate a crime. Specifically:
- Doxxing: posting or threatening to post someone’s personal information without consent.
- Targeted harassment: coordinated pile-ons, repeated direct attacks on a specific user.
- Credible threats of violence against an individual.
- Scam listings or fraudulent vendor activity.
- Content that sexualizes minors in any form.
That’s the list. We do not add to it because a small group of users is offended by content they chose to view.
What Stays
To be specific about things that do not violate this Community Code:
- Strong opinions, including ones that might offend people.
- Dark humor, horror content, occult content, and other niche interests.
- Explicit creative content involving consenting adult themes (within vendor listing guidelines).
- Heated arguments and one-star reviews.
- Content that criticizes public figures, brands, or institutions (within reason).
Politics
We The Loud is not a political platform. That does not mean you cannot have political opinions. It means this is not the place to run political campaigns, organize political movements, or flood the community with partisan content. Keep it focused on community. Take the rally posts to Facebook.
Counterculture has always had a political dimension and we understand that. But there’s a difference between identity and activism infrastructure. Build community here. Build your movement where that’s the actual purpose.
How Moderation Works
We The Loud launches with human moderation. That means real people review reports. We do not use automated content removal. You will not get banned by a bot for using the wrong word.
When you report something, a human looks at it. We apply this Community Code, not a corporate brand-safety checklist.
If you receive a moderation action you believe is wrong, you can appeal by emailing legal@wetheloud.com. We will respond.
Vendors
Vendor shops are subject to this Community Code plus the marketplace terms in the Terms of Use. If your products align with the communities this platform serves, you belong here. Vendors that misrepresent products, scam buyers, or use their shops to harass other members will lose their shops.
In Short
Be real. Be loud. Don’t be a dick and hurt people. That covers most of it.
