Safety

Last updated: May 13, 2026

We The Loud is a free expression platform with a real safety floor. This page explains that floor, what we do when something crosses it, and how to get help when you need it.

Our Approach

We take a narrow view of what constitutes a safety issue. We are not trying to prevent discomfort or controversy. We are trying to prevent targeted harm to real people.
Safety enforcement on We The Loud is handled by humans, not automated filters. Reports go to a person. That person applies the rules in this document and the Community Code. No bots, no keyword bans.

Reporting Content or a User

Every piece of content and every user profile on We The Loud has a report option. When you submit a report, it goes directly to our moderation team.
What to include in a report:

  • A description of what you’re reporting and why.
  • Screenshots or links if the content has already been removed or edited.
  • Any relevant context that helps us understand the situation.

We prioritize reports in this order: credible threats of violence, doxxing, active scams, and harassment. Other reports are reviewed in the order received.

Reports are confidential. The person you report will not be told who reported them.

Doxxing

Sharing or threatening to share someone’s private personal information, including their real name, address, workplace, phone number, or family members’ information without their consent, is a permanent ban offense. No warnings. No second chances.

If you are being doxxed or threatened with doxxing, report the content immediately and email legal@wetheloud.com. We will act the same day.

Threats

Credible threats of physical violence against a specific person will result in immediate account suspension pending review. If we believe the threat is serious, we will cooperate with law enforcement.

“I hope you choke on your bad takes” is not a threat. “I know where you live and I am going to hurt you” is. We can tell the difference.

Harassment

We The Loud does not ban conflict or criticism. We ban coordinated harassment: repeated, targeted attacks on a specific person that serve no purpose other than to drive them off the platform or cause them distress.

One heated argument is not harassment. Ten users filing into someone’s posts to attack them is.

Scams and Fraud

If a vendor takes payment and does not fulfill an order, misrepresents what they are selling, or uses their shop to deceive buyers, report it immediately.

We will investigate and, where fraud is confirmed, remove the vendor, flag the account, and assist affected buyers to the extent we are able. We The Loud does not process refunds directly, but we will assist in escalating disputes to Stripe where payment fraud is involved.

Minors

No content that sexualizes minors in any form is permitted on We The Loud. This is not negotiable. Accounts that post such content will be permanently banned and reported to the appropriate authorities.

If You Are in Crisis

We The Loud is a community platform, not a crisis service. If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services (911 in Canada and the US).
If you are struggling and need to talk to someone, the following services are available 24/7:

  • Crisis Services Canada: 1-833-456-4566
  • Talk Suicide Canada (text): 45645
  • 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline (US): call or text 988

We care about the people in this community. If something is wrong, please reach out to the services above. They are equipped to help in ways we are not.

Account Appeals

If your account was suspended or content was removed and you believe it was a mistake, email legal@wetheloud.com with “Appeal” in the subject line. Include your username and a description of the situation. We will review it and respond within 5 business days.
